The 2027 Next Gen program returns as an in-person experience held during the HC9 Annual Meeting in Lake Nona, Florida, February 6–8. Building on the inaugural cohort, this year’s program expands from the fundamentals of finding starter jobs and internships to include a bigger theme: working with AI to enhance your human skills.

The program blends hands-on, interactive work with practical career-building: a Shark Tank–style team project with a panel of judges, an AI-assisted interview practice session, professional headshots, and structured networking, alongside the tips and tricks that make a difference early in a career—resume preparation, reaching out on LinkedIn, requesting informational interviews, and the workplace norms that don’t get taught in a classroom. After the Next Gen sessions wrap, participants have the opportunity to stay for the general sessions at the HC9 Annual Meeting, where they’ll hear how the healthcare landscape is shaping up for 2027 and beyond.

An HC9 Limited Partner must nominate HC9 Next Generation participants, and can be a family member or a friend of that LP.
